This Kodak Brownie personal camera dates from 1914-1916.
In 1900, the Kodak company set out to win new markets with its Brownie model
and the slogan, "You press the button. We do the rest." In addition, two boxes

A tile from the space shuttle, forming part of its thermal
protection system. The tiles on the shuttle are made of pure silicon fibres,
and some are covered with a coating of black borosilicate glass, capable of
withstanding temperatures of close to 1640oC (3000oF) as the shuttle re-enters
the atmosphere.

known as "Super-Salk," with a plastic syringe. In 1955, Dr. Jonas Salk developed
this injectable vaccine, an effective weapon against polio. In 1994, North
and South America were officially declared polio-free.

the United Nations in 1948. It is founded on the principle that human rights
are based on the "inherent dignity" of every person.
